Let's flip the leadership tables and champion Gen Alpha to lead now!
GLNA Next Gen is serving educators across the country by inspiring Year 7 students to be culture setters in their school from the very start. Something typically thought of for Seniors, the Global Leadership Network Australia is equipping and mobilising students to lead with a biblical world view and empowering them to become change agents in their school, church, and community at the age of 11!
Let’s steward this unique chapter of history by raising up a generation of world changers who lead for the benefit of others.

Meet Cornelius Smit
DEAN OF OPERATIONS – MANDURAH BAPTIST COLLEGE – WA
Who is Cornelius?
Cornelius has been working in education for nearly 15 years and joined the Mandurah Baptist College team late in 2022. Over the years he has taught Accounting, Mathematics, Physical Education and Business Studies.
Cornelius is married to Zenia, who is also a Secondary School teacher. He is a sports fanatic, enjoys cycling and just about any team sport.
“Mandurah Baptist College has been fortunate to partner with GLS Next Gen for just over a year. Our Year 10 & 11 students are currently planning their second leadership conference."
Cornelius' Experience – Participating in Next Gen Initiatives
In 2023 we used the Next Gen resources and tools to organise an annual leadership conference for Year 6 students in our local community, the Bindjareb region.
The response from local schools exceeded our expectations and we had about 60 students attend the conference (including our own Primary school).
The GLNA Next Gen team were wonderful in supporting and coaching the students (in person and online).
As an educator, I saw the students take ownership. They grew in personal confidence and they were able to showcase their individual strengths and talents.
If your school is passionate about student leadership, and you are actively looking for ways to give students agency, then I could not recommend this program more highly.
