Noddy Sharma
Noddy grew up in the Highlands of Papua New Guinea. His dad was a pilot providing services and transport to isolated communities. After losing his dad to cancer, Noddy moved to Australia. Understandably, Noddy struggled with his identity and place in the world and so his teenage years were troubled.
At eighteen years of age, Noddy pursued a career as a professional golfer and had the privilege of teaching and playing full time for seven years. At twenty-five, after missing the cut by 1 shot for the Australian Open, Noddy lost his sponsorship and had to figure out what’s next. With a deep faith in God, and love for people, Noddy’s next chapter in his working life was as a pastor in a local church setting.
After twelve years in the church, Noddy accepted the position of CEO for a Global Humanitarian and Aid Organisation where he served for seven years. For the past four years, Noddy has worked for World Vision and his heart for connecting local communities here in Australia with the global poor continues to drive him.
Noddy has a heart for people, a passion for leadership, healthy culture and a desire to see people grow and develop their leadership and influence through relationships, in order to make the world a better place.
