Last Monday, everything changed for me.

I announced my decision to step down as CEO of GLNA/NZ to focus fully on growing the Women Leaders Network globally. Decisions like this are never easy or made quickly, but they are guided by a sense of calling. As leaders, we are called to serve people and fulfill roles that leave a legacy and make an impact on the world.

Women leaders have a unique role to play and a valuable contribution to offer, and this is being increasingly recognised in the church, government, and society.

So where do we see this in action? It’s often in unexpected places…

We are privileged to partner with Baptist World Aid Australia, an organisation that has played a pivotal role in empowering women and driving transformative change within communities. Through their initiatives, women have gained access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities, significantly improving their own lives and the well-being of those around them. Empowering a woman to lead is not just about individual change; it sparks a ripple effect that uplifts entire families and, over time, entire communities.

As I step into a new season of leadership, I find myself reflecting on the journey.

What impact have I made? What good have I done? What legacy will remain? These are questions we all may face in our leadership roles, urging us to consider the lasting influence we have on those we lead.
