Lean in to Summit Season

with John Robertson | CEO | Global Leadership Network Australia & New Zealand

I’ve just returned from Chicago where I had the chance to experience the Global Leadership Summit live, and I can’t wait for what’s ahead here in Australia and New Zealand. One of the highlights for me was sharing it with a group of 40 Aussies who made the trip over — including an incredible bunch of high school students from Hunter Christian School. Seeing their energy and fresh perspective reminded me again why leadership matters at every stage of life.

This month, we’re also featuring some great insights from Juliet Funt, who spoke powerfully at the Summit about creating space to think and lead with clarity. Make sure you check out the podcast and short clip — both are well worth your time.

As we step into the AUS/NZ Summit season, I want to encourage you: lean in. Bring your team. Engage with the content. Let’s grow together as leaders who are equipped, inspired, and ready to make a difference to lead where you are.

Empowering the Next Generation of Leaders
with Sarah McCutcheon | Next Gen National Relationship Manager | Global Leadership Network Australia & New Zealand

This past week, students from Maranatha Christian School, Rivercrest Christian College, and Hillcrest Christian College hosted the 2025 Next Gen Melbourne Flagship leadership conference, bringing together seven schools for a powerful, peer-to-peer training experience focused on empathy, problem solving, teamwork, and leading for the benefit of others. From exploring what it means to be a leader, to identifying personal leadership skills, and finishing with a call to action to help solve world hunger through the 40 Hour Famine, the day showcased the power of young voices stepping up to influence change. Meanwhile, we’re beyond proud to see our incredible Next Gen Newcastle Leaders attend the GLS in Chicago to be part of the live studio audience with thousands of leaders! Imagine being in the room—live—with thousands of leaders from around the world, hearing from globally renowned speakers… all while still in school!

These students led the charge at last year’s Next Gen Newcastle Flagship event, and now they’re stepping onto the world stage to represent Australia. We can’t wait to see how this experience shapes their leadership journey. Thank you Dr. Simon Herd and the team at Hunter Christian School for partnering with us to empower young leaders for global influence.
