Strength Emerges When Women Lead

Over the previous month, we’ve had the privilege of celebrating the first of three Women Leaders Network Ignite Conferences in Brisbane. It was great to see that when women are encouraged, equipped, and given space to lead, all God’s people are strengthened.

Every voice adds a vital layer to the life of the Church or an organisation – shaping worship, prayer, leadership, discernment, and decision-making. When women are actively engaged in conversations around theology, mission, and strategy, we gain a richer, more complete picture of what God is doing among us.

Jesus modelled this beautifully. In a culture that often-overlooked women, He consistently honoured and included them. Following His example requires intentionality, but the fruit is undeniable. When we seek out women’s voices, equip and encourage them, and create space for their gifts, leadership becomes stronger, healthier, and more reflective of the body of Christ.

This is not just good practice; it is Kingdom work. As we recognise and invest in the contributions women bring, we reflect the fullness of the Imago Dei to the world. And when brothers and sisters lead together, building God’s Kingdom side by side, it truly is a powerful and compelling witness.
